The Director – Patient Advocacy coordinates activities relating to Patient Advocacy that include Spiritual Care and Interpretation Services.
Act as liaison between consumer of healthcare services and the organization's administration, staff and physicians
Facilitate change to meet the needs of our health service customers
Oversee the interpretation services for the medical center to include all language services and Deaf interpretation services
Prepare reports for senior management and department managers
Provide expertise on customer needs and expectations and educate staff and physicians concerning these issues
Develop educational and promotional materials on Patients' Rights and communication improvement opportunities to impact customer satisfaction and safety
BSN degree in nursing or related clinical fields
Eight to ten years' acute hospital patient care experience, responsibilities, including management.
Specific experience with patient experience, patient advocacy, conflict resolution and customer relations
Proven skills in effectively managing patient relations
Bilingual skills are preferred
