Certified Surgical Technician – Cardiovascular Surgery Orlando, FL
Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire a Certified Surgical Technician who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

We work with the latest in advanced technologies and the most skilled interdisciplinary teams and include Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Fracture Care Surgery, General Surgery, Short-Stay, PACU, Pre-Op and Discharge, and Outpatient Surgery.
Work Hours/Shifts: Full Time, 3/12s, 10:30am – 11pm
As a Surgical Technician, you will function as a member of the surgical team, as a scrub person, by providing care to surgical patients of age specific groups identified in the unit standards of care (may include neonate to geriatric). You will be responsible for adhering to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies; and actively participating in outstanding customer service and accepting responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Graduate from a school of surgical technology, LPN program, RN program or completion of a military training program that includes surgical technology skills (If LPN, must have current, valid State of Florida license as a Licensed Professional Nurse. Additional surgical technician certification is not required)
CST or CORT certification (Completion of an RN training program will be accepted in place of certification)
Basic skills related to aseptic/sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation
Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements
Experience in the clinical setting related to area of specialty
