Originally founded in 1980 as Community Psychology & Education Services, CPES’ original mission was to create community services for Arizona’s adults with developmental disabilities. In 2005, our program was expanded through the acquisition of Counseling and Consulting Services (CCS), a behavioral health service provider owned by one of CPES’ co-founders. Renamed Community Provider of Enrichment S...ervices, CPES received its first foster care contract with the Administration on Children, Youth and Families the following year.
In the three decades since our founding, Community Provider of Enrichment Services (CPES) has become well-known as one of Arizona’s leading providers of quality coordinated service for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our expertise in creating systems of care tailored to the individual needs of this vulnerable and complex population gives CPES’ clients a decided advantage as the field places new emphasis on integrated models of care. Our Behavioral Health staff provide family and individual counseling and a variety of positive behavior supports throughout Arizona, mostly in the client’s home.
Building upon our success in Arizona, CPES expanded into California with the acquisition of Novelles Developmental Services and incorporation of CPES California, working to create residential and day program options for consumers beyond the system of institutional care.
