The UC Davis Radiation Oncology department provides sophisticated radiation therapy services and clinical care. Our radiation oncologists subspecialize in different tumor types and use state-of-the-art technology to provide compassionate care to patients. In particular, the UC Davis Radiation Oncology department is recognized as a national leader in advanced technology and treatments using IMRT, IGRT and 3-D conformal radiation therapy for many types of cancers.
Provides direct patient care to a diversified patient population. Applies knowledge, experience and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations. Participates in patient and staff education. Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to problem solve on a broad level. Facilitates critical thinking of staff when addressing patient care issues. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
Demonstrates investment in improving the overall quality of care in the clinic/unit. Coordinates procedural schedule requiring anesthesia. Supports clinical staff for clinic visits and status checks.REQUIRED -At least 2 years of RN experience in an Oncology setting. -Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. -Possession of current California RN License. -External Candidate- BSN required. -Per Diem to Career- BSN required or in progress. -Completion of hospital Medication Exam and I.V. Therapy Exam with passing score. -CPR certification.
