Registered Nurse (PRN) - IMCU Physical Therapy, Occupational & Speech Therapy Services Lakeland Medical Center Schedule: PRN, flex, 12-hour day shift
The professional we select will promote relationship-centered care that demonstrates an appreciation for the vulnerability of patients, anticipates needs, and incorporates the patient as a full partner in care. Delivering high-quality care based on therapeutic caring relationships that are individualized to each patient, this person will practice the full scope of nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Keeping people at the heart of all we do, this individual will demonstrate the scope and standards of professional performance, including quality of practice, evaluation of practice, lifelong learning, collegiality, ethics, collaboration, clinical inquiry, resource utilization, and leadership.
Additional responsibilities include:
Using the standards of nursing practice and mutually solving problems with the patient, family, other healthcare providers, and the community to develop a well-coordinated and collaborated plan of care.
Demonstrating a competent level of behavior in the professional registered nurse role through engagement in caring relationships, modeling of caring factors, and the promotion of optimal outcomes.
Ensuring zero preventable harm with attention to all patient safety and quality practices, including hygiene, hourly rounding, pro-active toileting, and maintenance of a clutter-free healing environment.
Establishing self-caring practices, demonstrating personal safety practices, and engaging in continuous learning.
Initiating, cultivating, and sustaining caring relationships with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
Demonstrating ethical practice by maintaining patient confidentiality.
Fostering a spirit of clinical inquiry through integration of the Quality-Caring Model with specific evidenced-based nursing interventions to positively influence health outcomes.
Participating in activities to support clinical inquiry as appropriate to one’s skills, knowledge and experience.
Appropriately using resources by maintaining an open, flexible approach and considering factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact in the planning and delivery of nursing services.

Education, Experience, and Licensure
Successful applicants will each possess an associate’s degree with a commitment to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing within three years of hire; current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Florida; and BLS. Bachelor’s degree at time of hire and certification in specialty of nursing are preferred.
