You will have overall responsibility with the hospital epidemiologist for directing, administering, and managing the hospital wide infection control program. The professional nurse we seek will have advanced knowledge of Process Improvement, skill, and competence in Infection Control and serve as a resource to all hospital departments, medical staff and community as it relates to preventing disease transmission in all ages (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Qualified candidates will possess:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or allied health field.
Certified in the practice of infection control or epidemiology.
Five years’ experience in infection control practice or epidemiology.
Knowledge of HAI Precautions – Advanced knowledge of immunosuppressed patients which include neonate and transplant patients
Preferred skills include:
Knowledge of Infection Control Information systems and data collection methods. Masters degree in nursing or allied health field.
