Working in partnership with the Total Rewards Leader, the Principal Consultant position will consult on compensation initiatives across the business. There may be some responsibility for benefit initiatives. The position participates in planning, designing, implementing, and administering day-to-day compensation programs. Working collaboratively with Leadership, Managers, and other key internal and external partners, ensuring that classification and compensation programs support and are aligned with both short and long term business objectives. The Principal Compensation Consultant will be expected to lead cross functional teams to deliver HR Initiatives, provide a high level of consultative services to assigned business areas and provide continuous improvement to the policies and practices governing the compensation function.

In collaboration with HR Leadership, plan, develop, and execute employee compensation programs and assure their delivery
Uses professional concepts to resolve complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments
Lead compensation resource, including job code development and maintenance, job evaluation, pay analysis, surveys, market data, and delivery of compensation programs
Lead significant portions of cross-functional projects/teams on Total Rewards strategic initiatives
Assess, recommend, implement and promote proactive approaches to respond to business needs relative to the compensation function and broader Total Rewards function as appropriate. Identify areas of improvement and influence the behaviors of business partners
Participate in core Compensation work including survey participation/governance, Pay Analysis, and the Annual Merit and Bonus process.
Develop analytics that support business objectives to influence strategic decisions around future state and ongoing investment in the HR infrastructure.
Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards
Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication
Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding issues with all customers in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Bachelors degree in a related business discipline required
Experience: Minimum 8 years of related experience with progressive responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to creatively solve highly complex problems and ability to gather and analyze data key to success. Proven ability to reach targeted goals
Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Impeccable organization and planning skills
Strong Knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to compensation and benefits
Competent accounting and financial analysis skills
Ability to see the big picture and employ strategies to influence leadership decisions
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills required with customers, leadership and staff
Ability to influence behaviors and drive business objectives at all levels of the organization
Ability to train, deliver programs and work with line managers on Compensation related issues
The qualified candidate will have a sense of urgency, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and be a self-starter
Project management experience and working with HRIS is strongly preferred
Experience designing and administering variable incentive plans is a plus. CCP or other related certifications are a plus. Must be able to function well in a team environment.
