The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and managing all operations, services, and programs of assigned departments.
The Director will work collaboratively with the Vice President of Operations, CTMF-Tyler, informing of program issues and accomplishments.
Responsible for enhancing the internal organizational processes and infrastructure that will allow departments and operations to continue to grow and fulfill the assigned mission.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provides effective leadership and stewardship of assigned departments by being actively involved in appropriate hospital programs and services. Implement ongoing continuous quality improvement processes throughout the assigned clinical areas, focusing on systems and process improvement. Ensure continuity and quality of service and care while following customer service, human resource, and financial management standards and practices.
Lead high performing management team to next level by further developing and implementing recruitment, training, and retention strategies, as well as compensation and benefits administration.
Partners with Hospital Administrators to represent CTMF-Tyler with external partners and groups, promoting the organization's mission, activities, and needs to a broad audience including staff, community leaders, volunteers, public officials, and private organizations.
Works with the organization's leadership staff, finance team, to prepare an annual organizational budget. Coordinate annual operations plan and budget. Prepare and submit an annual operating budget to Finance for review and approval, manage effectively within the budget and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
Responsible for revenue optimization, profitability, growth, expense control, billing, coding and collections activities. Represents Hospital Administration on various committees, including EHR, billing and collections, coding, staff education and training, such as compliance or computer systems.
Ensure all clinics and program activities operate consistently in a fiscally responsible and ethical manner within the mission and vision.
Develops, applies, and interprets new policies relating to operations. Recommends changes to existing policies for the improvement of financial and quality performance, and to provide effective and efficient patient care.
Provides practice management expertise to develop organizational efficiencies and effectiveness; data collection, reporting, and analysis; benchmarking development and analysis.
Works with medical and finance staff to ensure execution of quality improvement plan and healthcare business plan.
Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic planning processes with the Administrative Team and staff. Review on an ongoing basis the services offered in the clinics and with the leadership team, develop new programs as the needs emerge.
Provides expertise in developing and maintaining strong physician and provider relationships; assists in developing strategies for contracting, compensating, managing and retaining quality providers.
Ensure all service lines are in compliance with federal, state, funding, certifying entities, regulatory and accrediting bodies, and licensing requirements.
Promotes an organizational culture that fosters passion for the mission, cooperation, teamwork, and a common organizational vision.
Participates in professional development activities and maintain working knowledge of significant trends in the field of healthcare.
Master's degree in healthcare or business related field;
Minimum of three years experience in operational healthcare management.
(Ten years of healthcare management experience within a large hospital/health system may be used in lieu of Master's degree)
