A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant will assist in providing patient care under the direction of a physician.
Under the direction of the physician, perform basic patient care duties including, but not limited to obtaining vital signs, weighing patients and collecting specimens. May include administration of some specific medications/immunizations.
Cleans and restocks exam rooms. Orders stock supplies from supply department.
Assists provider in examination and treatment of patient and with procedures.
Assists with patient flow through clinic. Accompanies patient to other areas as directed.
Answers phone/records phone message and assists provider with patient related calls. Assists in scheduling test appointment and pre-certification. Documents any information related to patient. Assist provider with medical refills.
Performs routine clerical duties assigned, including but not limited to faxing, filing and the completion of routine forms.
Attends/completes required meetings and in-service training and performs other duties as assigned.
Requires a Clinical Medical Assistance Certification by an approved accredited agency.
BLS Certified (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
One year of experience as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant is preferred (not required)
Specific phlebotomy skills and/or specialty experience may be required for some practices.
Must have training with oral and injectable medication administration
