Position Summary: The RN, Registered Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of the multidisciplinary CORE team using standardized protocols to independently provide examination, evaluation, and recommend treatment for patients in the Cardiology Pro Fees Heart and Vascular Institute at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. Also provides nursing assessments, patient education and case management for patients with complex conditions seen in the Memorial Hear and Vascular Institute.
Minimum Requirements: * The NP candidate should have extensive clinical background in cardiothoracic surgery with a critical care practice component. * 3+ years of experience with cardiothoracic surgery patients. * Current California RN license. * Current California Nurse Practitioner license. * Current California furnishing license to furnish medications in the state of California. * Drug Enforcement Agency license issued by the United States DEA - Schedule II- III-IV controlled substances. * Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP or AGACNP).
