This is a part-time, exempt position, responsible for working with Editors (especially two Editors-in-Chief), two editorial boards, and members of the professional team to manage two scientific journals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of publishing for two peer-reviewed scientific journals, including planning, budgeting and operations
Develop, manage and meet production and publishing schedules for journals
Work closely with two Editors-in-Chief to provide ongoing publishing counsel
Manage relationship(s) with journal publishing company
Serve as primary customer service contact to provide support to authors and reviewers
Recommend technical or operational advances to improve article delivery and reach
Assist with establishing editorial guidelines and scope
Maintain online submission and peer-review system, balancing speed with high quality
Prepare routine management reports and maintain master reference files for the Journals

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a scientific or analytical discipline
Minimum five years of project management experience in academic publishing
