Since 1976 Lakeside Behavioral Health System has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and mid-south region. The 305 bed facility is located on a safe and private 37 acre campus in northeast Shelby County and provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment for adults, seniors, adolescents and children. Lakeside's specialized programs treat disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism and drug addiction. The Administrative Director of Nursing assists the Chief Nursing Officer in the administrative and performance improvement initiatives of the Nursing department. The Administrative Director of Nursing takes a leadership role in Performance Improvement activities by developing plans, priorities, policies, assessment tools, and improvement activities. The Administrative Director of Nursing gathers and analyzes data to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the Nursing function. When needed, the Administrative Director of Nursing supervises the delivery of nursing care provided by professional and support nursing staff throughout the hospital. In the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Administrative Director of Nursing assumes responsibility for the Nursing department and all CNO functions. The Administrative Director of Nursing also takes an active role in staffing the Nursing department. The position will rotate call responsibilities on alternate weekends and exhibit flexibility in hours worked.
