Primarily responsible for ensuring that the Charge Description Master (CDM) is accurate and complete through personal review and by working with hospital departments.Perform reviews of the CDM for appropriateness of coding, including systems function and charging methodologies. Proactively identify new charge opportunities, and make monthly observations and recommendations to prevent future billing problems.
High School Diploma or equivelant
Previous experience in medical business office environment
Experience with CPT/ HCPCS coding; or Experience with hospital billing; or In-depth knowledge of any hospital payor billing requirements
Experience using multiple software resources, including Excel, Word, Access, email, and websites.
