Your Role: The Registered Nurse in the Partial Hospitalization Program at the Psychiatric Hospital will provide direct patient care and milieu management, conduct psychoeducation groups on a daily basis, and act as the liaison between the patient and the MD when questions/concerns arise regarding medications. They provide a crucial role among the PHP treatment team. This position is often viewed as the "face of PHP", as the RN is responsible for new patient orientation. They are typically the first staff member the patient will meet. Additionally, the RN interacts with the milieu throughout the course of their day including break-times, lunch, and in various activity-related groups, often encouraging a relaxing, cohesive environment. Experience leading groups and creating evidence-based psychoeducational group curriculum is preferred
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience)

Vanderbilt Behavioral Health, through its inpatient facility Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital, is the only inpatient provider of mental health services for children in Middle Tennessee. We offer highly specialized services for children ages 4-12 who have emotional or behavioral challenges and need immediate assistance. Each child's care is supervised by a board-certified child psychiatrist.
Our adult programs care for patients 18 and older. We offer personalized treatment programs tailored to specific needs such as Psychotic Disorder Program, Mood Disorders Program, Addictions Programs, and the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program.

* Registered Nurses who have their BSN or MSN degree and at least six months of RN experience may be eligible for the sign-on bonus for certain departments.
* Registered Nurses who have less than 2 years of experience are eligible for a $5k sign-on bonus.
* Registered Nurses who have more than 2 years of experience are eligible for a $10k sign-on bonus.
* The sign on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past two years.
