Provides health related training, clinical expertise and technical assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers to build and expand competency and capacity in the health care area. Facilitates access and coordination of behavioral and physical health care services. Services are provided to those receiving services from county intellectual disability programs.
Reports directly to the Director for the Health Care Quality Unit.
This position is home based and requires field work in the Huntingdon, Mifflin and Juniata Counties. The RN provides health related training and technical assistance to caregivers of individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities

regulations. Must be able to understand the rules, regulations, policies and standards
related to HCQU operation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an unrestricted professional nurse
license in Pennsylvania required.
Minimum of 3 years general nursing experience in addition to a minimum of 1 year nursing
experience for individuals with physical and/or behavioral challenges required.
Certification in Developmental Disabilities highly preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in a community living setting. Duties require driving a
vehicle and being mobile in and around residential/vocational facilities and office buildings. Must be able to deal with individuals who can be aggressive and abusive.
