The RN Clinic provides direct patient care, administers medications, educates, collaborates, and counsels patients and families. The RN Clinic assesses physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients and families. Will work in ambulatory clinic setting. This position works collaboratively with patient, family, physician and other members of the health care team to achieve the highest quality clinical outcomes. This position assumes responsibility for an interdisciplinary process and teamwork is a vital component through effective collaboration efforts .
Under general supervision, performs triage screening to determine appropriate avenue for care of patients. Ensures care of patient by appropriate provider. Duties and Responsibilities:
* Obtains history and gathers triage information to determine appropriate avenue for care
* Relays triage information and facilitates communication between the provider and the patient concerning patient disposition.
* Provides patient education relative to health care needs, use of community resources
* Provides telephone advice according to established guidelines and protocols
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
Registered Nurse with license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required OR Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit required.
1 year of RN or 2 years of LPN experience required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required.
Certification in a specialty area preferred
P HYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A ble to stand, walk and sit frequently.
A ble to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
A ble to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
A ble to reach constantly.
A ble to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
