The Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Infection Prevention Program working with the infection preventionists and the infection control committee. They are a core member of the Medical Service team. They apply the nursing process to systems or processes at the unit/team/work level to improve care.
