The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Medical Assistants at the Occupational Health Clinic. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities. Leadership responsibilities include, but are not limited to, functioning as an expert clinical leader and role model, a resource person for clinical staff, working collaboratively with others to achieve the goals of patient care; identifying problems and working on solutions, clinical staff scheduling, evaluations, competencies, performance improvements, and supporting the educational and teaching efforts within the clinic.
•BSN or MSN required. MSN preferred
• CA RN License, BLS required
•Minimum 3 years experience in an Occupational Health setting strongly preferred
•1 year or greater of progressive nursing leadership experience required
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with staff, patients, and with all UCLA Departments. Ability to write concisely and maintain written communication. Working knowledge of University, Medical Center and Departmental policies and procedures. Ability to support institutional standards and operations systems.
