The Nurse serves as a proficient practitioner whose practice encompasses a wide range of responsibility and accountability. Demonstrates leadership in planning, implementing, evaluating and improving care delivery using collaborative strategies with others while ensuing compliance with the Medical Center / VISN mission and nationally recognized standards. The Registered Nurse serves as an proficient practitioner whose practice encompasses a wide range of responsibility and accountability. The RN demonstrates leadership in planning, implementing, evaluating, and improving care delivery using collaborative strategies with others while ensuring compliance with the Medical Center NISN mission and nationally recognized standards. Practice is based on conscious and deliberate planning utilizing critical thinking skills. The RN in this position possesses the ability to expertly navigate through Automated Data Packages and assure the highest level of care is provided. The RN shows an increased level of understanding in regards to the realm of services offered and access thereof. The RN executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to the management of complex customer needs. The Nurse collaborates with the Information Resource Management (IRM) Department or Regional Operations Center (ROC) that is responsible for implementing a computerized patient medical record and clinical software packages in the Medical Center. He/she participates in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, and evaluating multi-and inter-disciplinary Automated Data Packages. The RN provides operational support to the clinical staff that includes ongoing Automated Data Packages (ADP) training, customization of packages to maximize end-user benefits of packages, integration of off-the-shelf products into the medical center's electronic environment, and day to day problem solving. The Nurse's practice demonstrates leadership to promote a high professional level of practice utilizing the adult learning theory through educational modalities and settings. The Nurse is knowledgeable of the medical center's organization, policies, procedures, and resources. He/she works with colleagues throughout the medical center in a team oriented, collaborative environment, utilizing principles of performance improvement. Competency will be validated initially and ongoing. The RN is responsible for practicing in accordance with and adhering to regulations such as the Nurse Practice Act, VHA policies and procedures, the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice, and other duties assigned. Pay Schedule: NG42 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
