The Silver Clinic specializes in the delivery of comprehensive medical specialty care to adult and geriatric patients utilizing the Neighborhood Model, in collaboration with the Patient Aligned Care Teams in Primary Care and other services. The goal is to transform care delivery & provide patient-centered care. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is qualified to manage daily unit operations, ensuring safe and therapeutic care for the patients assigned to the unit. This will include: delegating and coordinating work flow, supervision of subordinates, staffing the unit 24/7, working with other Nurse Managers/Nurse Supervisors to identify and share resources, rounding on patients, interacting with other disciplines, reviewing documentation. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager (NM), functions as a supervisor and assumes accountability for the operational function of the unit. This includes managing staff scheduling, unit coverage, and support to the NMr and staff to achieve related performance measures and Joint Commission compliance for the unit. The ANM provides tracking and trending of clinical outcomes. He/she has progressive responsibility for performance improvement, customer service/patient satisfaction, interviewing applicants, employee relations, standards of care and practice and accreditation and regulatory standards. The ANM will be involved in coaching staff, initial evaluations of employee conduct and performance and completing recurring reports. He/she participates in KCVA committees and task forces to improve nursing practice and patient care. In the absence of the NM, the ANM assumes appropriate degree of responsibility in regards to administrative and clinical issues.
