DUTY STATION: The duty station is at the John Cochran division; however, the duty station may be changed to one or multiple associated VAMC locations within the metropolitan St. Louis, MO area based on the needs of the medical center. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. FUNCTIONS: Effectively plans and implements the nursing process and the quality of care to patients requiring medical/surgical nursing care. 1. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all members of the health team. 4. Participates in performance improvement activities in the unit, service line and Medical Center. 5. Demonstrates collaborative relationships with the Inter-disciplinary teams in providing continuity of care to the patient 7. Demonstrates self-motivation and independence in professional development, organization of tasks/assignments for the nursing team and in providing a safe patient care environment 8.
