PRIMARY FUNCTION: Designs and implements physician and advance practice clinicians compensation programs including complex incentive plans. Proactively monitors the healthcare industry to aid in aligning provider compensation and benefits to the ever-changing healthcare environment. Serves as a resource to leadership in reviewing all aspects of provider compensation throughout the organization. Serves as a subject matter expert regarding provider compensation and benefit matters. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -
Serves as a consultant/subject matter expert to the clinical enterprise on compensation and ensures that decisions are in alignment with the organization's total rewards philosophy and business strategy. -
Develop, implement, and evaluate provider compensation strategies and models that align with financial and organizational objectives including provider productivity and performance. -
Conducts job evaluations; analyze job responsibilities, activities, duties, requirements, and organizational structure and recommend internal job placement in the appropriate level, title and FLSA classification. -
Assists in the development and assessment of non-clinical work, conducting cost analysis, and routine reporting. -
Participates in developing incentive plans, project requirements, implementation of new programs along with appropriate communication plan strategy. -
Conducting research to understand industry and organization-specific issues, including financial information, compensation and rewards and corporate performance. Identifies opportunities to mature models to motivate individuals to accelerate change and achieve superior performance. -
Conducting market pricing, assisting in peer group selection, survey analyses, interpreting salary data, financial modeling and special research projects. -
Develops a comprehensive understanding of Medical Group and clinical enterprise issues and priorities; effectively analyzes and diagnoses problems; provides clear advice and recommendations to assist leadership in making sound business decisions. Advises and influences the organization on compensation and benefits strategy and programs. -
Leads the design and implementation of new compensation programs and incentives plans. Coordinates projects and initiatives including creation of project plan, development of communication materials, testing of configuration and/or data, training, etc. -
Evaluates existing positions and newly created positions to determine placement in the appropriate salary grade based on competitive market data and organizational structure; conducts exemption testing for compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). -
Serves as a key vendor liaison regarding data analysis, interfaces, error report review and communication relating to benefit offerings. -
Assess all benefit changes impact to clinicians making recommendations as appropriate. -
Performs various administration activities such as execution of general base pay adjustments, developing reports and assists managers in developing and writing job descriptions. -
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors. -
Performs other related duties as requested. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: -
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, ideally in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, accounting, or health care administration; Master's degree preferred. -
Five years of advanced professional experience in compensation and benefit administration with an emphasis on incentive design, benefits consulting, and program administration. -
Three to five years of related analytical experience required, involving data analysis, financial modeling, and presentation design. -
Certified Compensation or Benefits Professional designation is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: -
