Summary
The Registered Nurse / RN delivers nursing care to patients who require mental health services. The Registered Nurse / RN performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well being of the patient. The Registered Nurse / RN complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse / RN prepares equipment and assists physicians during treatments and examinations of patients. The Registered Nurse / RN collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. The Registered Nurse / RN supervises and assists Psychiatric Technicians thereby providing nursing care to a number of patients. The Registered Nurse / RN knowledge of adherence to monitoring of and compliance with all regulatory and licensing agency guidelines including but not limited to TJC, OSHA, AHCA, CMS, etc.
Qualifications:
Position Qualifications (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
- Current Florida RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Successful Florida Protective Services background check
- Experience in mental health care preferred
- Ability to communicate in English
