The primary purpose of the LVN is to perform assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care, position customer service and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the veteran. Develops and delivers virtual and digital technologies which help Veterans communicate synchronously and asynchronously with their health care teams and coordinate, track and manage their health care. These technologies may include, but are not limited to, Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT), Store and Forward Telehealth (SFT), Video Conferencing, VA Video Connect (VVC), VA Mobile, My HealtheVet (MHV), Home Telehealth (HT), and other telehealth applications. These technologies are used to deliver care to Veterans located at various institutional and non-institutional settings, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs), Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), State Veteran Homes, Vet Centers, homeless shelters, Indian Health Services (IHS) clinics, Department of Defense (DOD) facilities and other affiliated organizations as well as directly to Veterans in their home. These duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 1. The LVN will have responsible duties as the Telehealth Clinical Technician for Clinical Video Technology (CVT) and Store and Forward (SFT) Telehealth programs for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS). 2. The LVN will be responsible for performing, recording, and reporting assigned nursing care and will use telehealth technologies to provide care, facilitate access, and improve the outcomes of Veterans through the application of various modalities. 3. The LVN will work collaboratively among various participating services in the administration, management and delivery of Telehealth services. 4. The LVN will be required to work under the supervision of appropriate licensed and/or credentialed provider(s) supporting various aspects of telehealth program(s) as required by (but not limited to) COPs, TSAs, and SOPs. 5. The LVN will maintain all required skills to perform CVT and SFT Telehealth; including (but not limited to) the scheduling, coordination and training as necessary, and the maintenance of proper documentation to record the training. 6. The LVN provides education and expectations to providers, staff, and patients as it relates to the Telehealth programs 7. The LVN will be familiar with the training, maintenance and operation of all Telehealth technology and equipment and remain current with all training guidance from the VA Center of Excellence for SFT Telehealth (Currently the Boston Training Center). Work Schedule: 0730-4, 07-330,08-430,0830-5pm. May require later clinic hours based on clinic need. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
