General Purpose of Job: The Quality Informaticist supports the development and implementation of quality improvement activities, and assists in improving quality processes through coordinating and engaging in performance excellence activities. This position will be dedicated to and assist with the management of core business processes and quality initiatives. The key focus areas will be strategic Quality data capture, effective data visualization, reporting, validation, and audit processes. The Quality Informaticist will perform in tandem with the External Quality Metrics Analyst and Quality SME’s responsible for audit and applied data operations. This position is responsible for forecasting, monitoring, analyzing, compiling, drafting recommendations and developing proactive strategies with dissemination to appropriate entities for vetting and action. Collaborates with other DHP departments to assess, plan, facilitate, implement, monitor and evaluate operational activities of various departments with impact to performance metrics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Quality Informaticist applies expertise in data analysis to interpret implications of interventions and measurement analytics. The incumbent will engage with clinical teams composed of senior leadership, clinical leadership, quality department and other staff to gain a better understanding of current clinical processes and work towards improving member and provider services/outcomes and quality at the health plan. This should be accomplished through analysis/representation of data in appropriate formats, collaboration with colleagues, active participation and initiative to effectively improve outcomes. Education and/or Experience: Minimum- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, informatics, public health, or other related equivalent field. Master’s degree preferred, 8-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
