Current VA Employees should include most recent SF-50 The Specialty Clinic Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides high-quality, evidence-based care for Veteran patients who are being seen in the Specialty Clinics. The incumbent for this position will have the knowledge, skills, and experience to carry out assignments involving data gathering, treatments and assisting with patient/family education. The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) performs nursing assignments on 3 North East(3NE)Medical Specialty Clinics patients as a member of the Allergy, Chemical Dependency, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonary, Pre-operative Clinic Teams and Inpatient Transport Team. Under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse, she/he is responsible for providing direct and/or indirect patient care to Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonary, Pre-operative Clinic patients and admitted patients who are in need of transportation. She/he will have the knowledge, skill and experience to carry out assignments including but not limited to data gathering, setting up/breaking down and assisting with diagnostic procedure and treatments. This LVN/LPN will take an active role in process improvement and quality monitoring. The LVN/LPN ensures 3NE Medical Specialty Clinic providers are adequately supported during clinics and procedures and will serve as liaison between support services and 3NE Medical Specialty Clinic. The LVN/LPN selected for this position will work under the direction of the 3NE Medical Specialty Clinic Providers and/or inpatient Registered Nurse. This position is primarily a Monday- Saturday day shift position, but hours may periodically change to meet patient care demands and increase opportunities to screen Veterans for chronic specialty diseases and to provide access to newly diagnosed Veterans with Medical Specialty conditions and/or chronic diseases. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift (day); may be adjusted to meet the needs of the organization Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
