Manages integration activities through the entire software development life cycle.
Recommends improvements to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and the integration engine.
Analyzes requirements and creates specification. Analyzes current interface functionality, project requirements to understand scope of interface work, and impact of future design decisions on interfaces under the guidance of a senior Integration team member or manager. Reads, comprehends, and creates technical specifications and technical documentation.
Designs changes and enhancements to interfaces. Under the guidance of senior integration team members, designs routing, mapping, and scripting logic for interfaces. Diagrams high-level and detailed interface designs. Creates detailed conformance documents for interfaces.
Develops and codes interfaces. Develops interfaces using the appropriate standard or protocol (such as: HL7, CCD, XML, X12, FTP, or other interoperability standards and protocols) according to the documented specifications. Codes interface logic using programming and scripting languages (such as: TCL, Korn shell, CCL, or other appropriate languages). Effectively uses interface engines (such as: Cloverleaf, Open Engine, or other comparable systems) to support AdventHealth Information Technology’s interoperability projects with Cerner or other systems.
Executes testing and creates associated documentation. Performs unit or system testing of interfaces under the guidance of senior integration team members. As needed, prepares project documentation for Quality Assurance. Participates in the Quality Assurance testing process, and fixes interface issues found during testing.
Plans and implements interface changes. Performs peer review of production migration prior to interface implementation. Attends change control meetings to represent any changes affecting interfaces. Creates detailed implementation plan and implements approved integration changes into production under the guidance of senior integration team members
Communicates, coordinates, and escalates issues in order to seek resolution. Provides accurate and timely status updates to team lead and upper management, escalating roadblocks as necessary. Coordinates and drives interface meetings with external teams and vendors. Manages interface project issues to seek resolution with the assistance of senior integration team members.
Troubleshoots and resolves medium-impact, medium-complexity technical challenges and problems, escalates if necessary. Participates in on-call rotation involving 24 X 7 interface support.
