You Will Be Responsible For
Demonstrates AdventHealth Hendersonvilleâ€™s Core value of integrity, compassion, teamwork, and excellence.
Data collection to monitor patient outcomes and robotics program performance.
Responsible for robotics program implementation within surgical services to include: surgery staff training, coordination of physician training, coordination with robotics sale representatives to stay abreast of new technology, and leading interdisciplinary robotics program team.
Facilitates the navigation of all surgical robotics patients, as a single point of contact. Ensures efficient and coordinated services through the screening, diagnosis, treatment and support/educational services.
The Navigator will establish and maintain positive open communication (verbal and written) and relationships with: referring physicians, surgeons, hospital staff, and robotics companies, to ensure quality care for patients with health concerns.
Will facilitate patient continuity of care between hospital departments and provide patient follow-up for laboratory, radiology, and pathology procedures.
Continuously evaluates patientâ€™s physical and emotional recovery after surgery and treatments; demonstrating awareness of patients needs as a total person (physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, cultural, etc.), consistent with the patientâ€™s age and developmental level.
Travel to physician offices and/or other hospital sites, as required.
Works with Director of Surgery, Office of Collaborative Improvement, and Credentials Committee to establish quality measures and patient outcome reports.
What You Will Need
Current RN License required
3 to 5 years of Operating Room RN experience required
Microsoft Office including Excel experience required
National certification such as CNOR preferred
Navigates AdventHealth Hendersonville robotics patients through their diagnosis and treatment ensuring timely services. The Surgical Nurse Navigator and Robotics Coordinator will meet the patients/families to provide emotional support and guidance from diagnosis and through end-stage disease, if necessary. The Navigator will provide medical information, education, and knowledge of referring resources. Navigator will be responsible for facilitating rapid scheduling and follow ups on paatients. Tracking patients to ensure completion for their recommended treatment plans will also be performed. The nurse navigator will promote the Navigator program and cancer prevention, detection and treatment awareness to the community through presentations and participation in cancer related organizations. Navigator will attend appropriate programs, health fairs, and events as needed and make presentations to appropriate groups. Navigator will assist the Director of Surgical Services in planning, developing and implementing new or expanded programs/services. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and promoting the AdventHealth Hendersonville's Robotics Program.
