Analyzes thoroughly and proposes effective solutions for interface projects and problems. Analyzes current interface functionality as well as impact of future design decisions on interfaces under the guidance of a senior Integration team member or manager. Reads, comprehends, and creates technical specifications, technical documentation, and other project documentation.
Designs changes and enhancements to interfaces. Under the guidance of senior integration team members, designs routing, mapping, and scripting logic for interfaces. Diagrams high-level and detailed interface designs. Creates detailed conformance documents for interfaces.
Develops and codes interfaces. Under the guidance of senior integration team members, develops interfaces using the appropriate standard or protocol (such as: HL7, CCD, XML, X12, FTP, FHIR, web services, API, or other interoperability standards and protocols) according to the documented specifications. Codes interface logic using programming and scripting languages (such as: TCL, Korn shell, CCL, or other appropriate languages). Effectively uses interface engines (such as: Cloverleaf, Open Engine, or other comparable systems) to support AdventHealth Information Technology’s interoperability projects with Cerner or other systems. Meets development productivity and quality standards set by management.
Executes testing and creates associated documentation. Executes unit and system testing of interfaces under the guidance of senior integration team members. With the supervision of senior integration team members, prepares project documentation for Quality Assurance. Participates in the Quality Assurance testing process, and fixes interface issues found during testing.
Under the guidance of senior integration team members, liaises with customers and vendors, as required.
Plans and implements interface changes, as required. Creates detailed implementation plan, and implements approved integration changes into production under the guidance of senior integration team members, as required.
Provides accurate and timely status updates to team lead and management, escalating roadblocks as necessary. Communicates clearly and effectively with team members, other AIT teams, vendors, customers, and management.
Troubleshoots and resolves low-impact and medium complexity technical challenges and problems, escalates if necessary. Participates in on-call rotation involving 24 X 7 interface support.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to coordinate competing priorities and issues to facilitate appropriate client support and escalation of issues.
Ability to logically read and comprehend technical and/or functional manuals and instructions.
Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues.
Demonstrates thorough analytical skills and creates detailed and useful specifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
Knowledge of Cerner, Health Level 7 (HL7), Cloverleaf (or comparable interface engine), Scripting Languages (TCL, Korn shell, or comparable), web technologies, API, Linux, UNIX, and/or SQL
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1-2 years of IT work experience

Under moderate levels of supervision, the Associate Integration Analyst applies practical knowledge of integration to design and develop interfaces of low to moderate complexity. The Associate Integration Analyst analyzes thoroughly and designs changes and enhancements to interfaces. The analyst then develops interface solutions, tests, and implements changes. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
