The Clinical Resource Hub Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing evaluation, consultation and management of urgent mental health needs in the Virtual Care/Telemental Health setting as part of the VISN Clinical Resource Hub. They may also be responsible for managing an assigned panel of patients with acute and/or chronic mental illness within the same context. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Obtains and documents relevant psychiatric and medical history. Documents in Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). Orders and interprets diagnostic tests. Identifies medical and health risks and needs of the patient/family based on data collection. Is proactive in identifying potential emergency/crisis situations and providing appropriate interventions. Accepts warm handoff from Clinical Contact Center RN or Tele-Urgent Care LIPs Completes appropriate crisis assessment, including utilizing mandated screening tools, evaluations, and safety planning as indicated. Work Schedule: Evening/Weekends. Position affiliated with programs that operate 24/7/365 therefore evenings, weekends and holidays hours are necessary. Pay Schedule: The salary range listed in this announcement is a Base-Line Salary for a full-time work schedule. Starting salary will be set based on locality (which may include a special pay rate depending upon location).
