Responsible for daily cash management routine and reporting directly to senior manager. Responsible for generating daily treasury reports from various banking partners. Responsible for working directly with banking partners to resolve issues. Responsible for monitoring and resolving overdraft or liquidity issues. Responsible for creating and updated procedures and policies relating to cash management functions. Prepares transactions and reports on daily cash management activities. Receives and records cash and charge payments. Able to perform all cashier duties including opening and closing location. May prepare daily cash bags for cashiers. Maintains and balances vault cash and daily cashier charge activity. Maintains electronic files necessary to generate daily reports. Provides support to multiple locations ranging from equipment upkeep to inventory checks ensuring that systems and/or equipment are being operated securely, and policies and procedures are implemented and updated as required for compliance with Payment Card Industries (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS).
Duties and Responsibilities
Generates daily reports from banking partners, monitor cash balances in various accounts, initiate transactions and produce reports as needed.
Receives and receipts a variety of payments and other cash and cash-related transactions.
Responsible for daily reports to senior management and maintains electronic files necessary to generate daily reports.
Maintains treasury management software for daily cash management functions.
Installing & configuring point of sale software, integrating credit card software and point of sale peripheral hardware devices.
Maintains confidentiality of medical center and patient records.
Works with banking partners are vendors as necessary. Answer telephones, post invoices, and file documents and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Reconcile cash with receipts at the end of each turn and make sure that any discrepancies are managed immediately.
Identify and address any accounts related problems on an immediate basis.
Identify and correct cash register errors and take measures to ensure further mistakes do not happen.
Test new equipment, maintaining POS equipment, and assist with VUMC's PCI DSS security education/awareness training.
Request and review evidence provided for validation of PCI compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or a related technical field; or
Associates Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field plus 2 years of relevant work experience
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Must have great customer service skills, the ability to calm and reassure customers, have a positive attitude dealing with both internal and external customers.
