We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to join our Research Financial Management team. We are part of the Research and Technology Management Division of MSK. The group is responsible for post-award research fund administration, review, and approval of fiscal expenditures.
We review the application and analysis of budgetary controls for funding sponsors. We also ensure institutional compliance with federal, state, agency, governing regulations, policies, and procedures concerning sponsored and non-sponsored research.

Report directly to the Director, Research Financial Management
Serve as a member of the ORPA Management team and collaborate with ORPA leadership, as appropriate. Plan and implement programmatic initiatives affecting department operations and the broader research enterprise at MSK.
Manage the activities of a team of Research Finance Managers. Ensure the most professional, organized, efficient, and appropriate workflow and management of MSK research funds. Further an environment that encourages staff development, continuous improvement, and the highest quality service.
Act in a leadership role. Mentor and participate in high-level projects and communicate effectively to constituents and peers. Discuss departmental and institutional initiatives and financial strategies.
Minimum of 4 years experience in research administration (experience with NIH and other Federal grants preferred)
2 years of supervisory experience
Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree or professional school equivalent experience (M.H.A., M.S.N.. M.B.A., etc.) is preferred.
Apply broad technical and professional knowledge and significant job-related experience. Function as an internal consultant and/or assume managerial responsibility in a specialized functional unit of the organization.
Excellent analytical, time management, and organizational abilities.

Successful candidates may choose whether they would prefer to be remote (with twice yearly visits to the NYC office) or hybrid with the flexibility to come into our NYC offices. The choice is yours!
