Join our Clinical Lab's Histology group as the Histology Supervisor and play a part in providing clarity to patients with uncertain or unknown cancers, and information around individualized breast cancer care.
Think this role is for you?
You will get to work on the different parts of Histology - sectioning of tissue samples using a microtome, tissue scraping, staining, and re-embedding of tissue blocks as needed. You will also be trained on our proprietary process of laser microdissection under the supervision of a pathologist.
In addition, you will be leading the Histology team and will be responsible for hiring, holding annual reviews and corrective action implementation.
Primary point of contact for issues impacting the Histology department.
Work closely with laboratory leadership in the day-to-day operation of the department
Troubleshoot general problems including missing or conflicting identifiers.
Create monthly schedule to maintain workflow.
Ensure accurate and efficient laboratory services are always provided by the department.
Specimen labeling, verification of sample identifiers, and information against source documents.
Quality of patient testing and maintaining turn-around times.
Like in any CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited lab, this person will have clerical and administrative functions, including documentation to maintain compliance with state, CLIA and CAP requirements.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to maintain production and quality standards.
Bachelor’s degree in a biological science field or equivalent
5+ years of laboratory experience
HT or HTL (ASCP) Required
