You Will Be Responsible For:
• Lead Magnet committees, plan agendas and ensure minutes are taken and communicated. • Make membership recommendations for Magnet committees. • Provide guidance and mentoring for staff nurse committee members. • Facilitate development of shared leadership system. • Research strategies regarding shared leadership systems. • Facilitate education and training for shared leadership system. • Make recommendations to committees regarding shared leadership model and mentor staff nurses in their roles on the committees. • Demonstrates and conveys a favorable image of the Medical Center. • Coordinate the Magnet application, document, designation, redesignation and biannual reports. • Oversee system preparation for the ANCC site visit. • Interpret the ANA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for the organization and facilitate the integration of both. • Coordinate the efforts to identify appropriate evidence for each standard. • Coordinate collection, categorization, tracking and filing of all evidence for the document. • Serve as liaison to the ANCC Magnet Recognition Office through all four phases. • Validate, in writing, decision from the ANCC Magnet Recognition Office.
What You Will Need:
MSN degree & National Certification required
Three to five years nursing practice
Current GA RN license
The Nursing Advancement Manager will coordinate the Magnet application, document, designation, biannual reports and redesignation while integrating the Magnet standards into the Nursing and hospital infrastructure. Will provide leadership and direction for Nursing Services by meeting and exceeding selected standards of nursing excellence. Assist in coordinating and interpreting the data of the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) for patient outcomes and nursing satisfaction. Coordinates the development and optimization of a shared leadership system in the nursing division.
