The role you’ll contribute:
GENERAL SUMMARY: Mastectomy Garment Fitter is responsible for fitting customers with breast prostheses and post mastectomy services. This responsibility includes patient assessment, formulation, follow up and implementation of a treatment plan using external breast prostheses and other post-mastectomy products. Interacts with members and maintains a friendly, open and service-oriented attitude. Performs functions consistent with supporting the entire spa facilities’ team. Promotes the Spa Club and marketing strategies as assigned. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assesses specific prescription or patient's needs for breast prostheses as it relates to or includes, but is not limited to, the evaluation of the following: • physical assessment • circulation• skin integrity• posture and balance• mastectomy prosthetic requirements• Formulates and implements a treatment plan based upon an assessment to alleviate limitations and enhance function. The treatment includes, but is not limited to:• verification of prescription/documentation• a needs assessment based on patient and/or caregiver input• analysis of design requirements and material selection• consultation with and/or referral to other healthcare professionals• adjustments to accommodate individual anatomic contours • patient education and instruction • Responsible for managing the product inventory• Order basic inventory and special custom orders• Manage inventory within budget• Utilizes a follow-up treatment plan that ensures successful mastectomy prosthetic outcomes, patient health and quality of life which includes but is not limited to:• documentation of any changes in patient's condition • formulation of modification to ensure successful outcomes• confirmation of patient education and instruction • Promotes competency and enhancement of post-mastectomy professional practice to contribute to the profession's bodyof knowledge which includes, but is not limited to, participation in:• continuing education • promotion of public awareness of the post-mastectomy profession• consumer organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations• Promotes spa services at events both on and off site as needed• Provides the highest level of customer service and professionalism in all contacts. Provides compression garment fittingcoverage as needed• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· More than 1 year of mastectomy fitting experience and compression garment fitting knowledge
· High school diploma or equivalent
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
· Certification by one of following national Certification/Accreditation Boards:
Mastectomy fitter Board of Certification and/or American Board for Certification Orthotics and Prosthetics
