The role you’ll contribute:
The program coordinator will oversee the bariatric and orthopedic programs and act as a liaison for the patient through all aspects of their care pertaining to their care that include but are not limited to surgeons, hospital, dieticians, and physical therapy. This position will also be responsible for assisting with accreditation needs and monitoring patient outcomes as well as coordinating with insurances as needed.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Work closely with teams across the facility to manage the service line strategic planning, implementation, and analysis of progress for the bariatric and orthopedic programs
Coordinate with marketing on website launch, contact center and marketing plans for the service line
Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to schedule patient for all procedures, appointments, testing, etc.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards that may be required by specialty area, local, state, and federal agencies.
Work alongside surgical services and surgeons for pre op and post op education as well as the nursing team on the floor, providing care to the post op patients
Manage and regulate insurance requirements for patients to be eligible for surgery as well as assist in obtaining authorizations as needed
Works with the service line lead and physician liaison team to maximize volume and plan for specialty program growth
Acts as a liaison between physicians, internal customers, and management team with pertinent and ongoing communication
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Associate of Science in Nursing and 2+ years’ experience
Basic Life Support – CPR Certification
Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas (or compact)
Preferred qualifications:
BSN
