Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full time Registered Nurse for Cardio Heart in Morristown, NJ.
Performs patient assessment that is systematic, comprehensive and accurate for inpatient/outpatient and identifies physical psychosocial and teaching learning needs
Assesses for needs of the patient and significant other/family and formulates and updates patient teaching materials through AHS patient education counsel
Identifies patient needs and problems. Analyzes assessment data to determine plan of care. Reviews and responds to lab work and notifies APN/physician of any abnormal findings
Plans for nursing care of inpatient and outpatient population and develops appropriate individualized plan of care
Integrates and implements nursing practice across the continuum of care and assures post clinic/hospital follow up and adequate documentation as indicated
Performs all procedures and treatments according to established nursing procedures and standards of practice
Administers medication and treatments according to physician orders and protocols
Performs triage of patients via telephone
Evaluates effectiveness of intervention and revises plan of care as appropriate
Documents the patients and families response to therapies and nursing interventions including the achievement of goals
Documents patient/family teaching, learning and discharge information using the EMR system (Epic)
Valid NJ Nursing License, BLS, and 3-4 years RN experience required
Strong computer skills essential
