The role you’ll contribute:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct care to patients as a member of a multidisciplinary care team. Direct Care will be provided at a demonstrated level of competent practice to patients on a designated unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing and AdventHealth policy. As a member of the care team, the LPN will work the assigned unit based on his/her orientation, competencies and patient needs. Responsible for care provision of assigned patients and delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel within scope of practice. Collaborates with clinical ancillary team members in the delivery of patient care.

Collects data (e.g. physical, psychosocial, environmental, developmental), pertaining to the health status of patients in assigned nursing unit in a comprehensive manner under the supervision of the RN.
Administers ordered treatments and medications within scope of practice safely and competently.
Performs nursing skills and treatment within scope of practice and in accordance of provider orders and AdventHealth policy and procedure.
Monitors patient's status throughout shift and reports pertinent patient information and significant findings of admission and on-going patient information to appropriate member(s) of the health care team.
Monitors patient throughout shift including response to interventions/ treatments.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent LPN program
Current State of Florida Practical Nursing License
Current American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification
Florida State Approved IV Certification required within 30 days upon start date
