Job Summary:

The Compliance Audit Coordinator provides support to the Compliance Department in areas of auditing, risk assessment, and execution of the annual workplan relating to multi-specialty physician practices as well as the hospital audit program. The Compliance Audit Coordinator will collect all necessary billing information, including records, to help facilitate internal and external audits. This position will report to the Director of Compliance Audit Program.

Responsibilities:

• • Prepares classes and materials for compliance training and education for on-boarding of new physicians and periodic in-services for staff as needed.
  • Prepares materials for and manages the opening meetings with external consultants and operations.
  • Responsible for the oversight and management of data mining.
  • Assists the Compliance Department with research of current legislation and regulations regarding compliance audit issues and investigations.
  • Prepares trend analysis and provides reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains data on audits and prepares related statistical and trend reports.
  • Maintains dashboard as required across the network.
  • Collaborates with other department staff and takes proactive measures to avoid and/or resolve conflicts that may arise.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Compliance and other departments to obtain information needed for audits or other compliance department reviews/investigations.
  • Participates in compliance audits conducted by internal auditors, external consultants, and governmental agencies as directed by the Director of the Compliance Audit Program, AVP, VP, or Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Manage tracking of Network education
  • Audit preparation including:
    • Coordinate system access for external consultants
    • Obtain and review audit volume reports
    • Select audit sample using RAT-Stats software
    • Create and maintain audit files (electronic and hard copy formats)
    • Oversee collection of supporting documentation
    • Prepare audit worksheets for the Compliance auditors

• • Assists in all aspects of the Compliance Program as requested.
  • Travel to other campuses as needed.

Experience:

1 - 2 years' experience in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word), required. Experience utilizing multiple electronic medical record systems and coding tools, preferred. Previous experience in a physician practice setting, preferred.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalency required; associate degree or higher preferred.
