Summary: The dialysis PCT will demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe dialysis care based on physical, psychological, educational, as appropriate for the adult and geriatric ESRD patients. Under the direct supervision of Registered Nurse, the dialysis PCT Initiates and terminates dialysis treatments and monitors patient condition during their treatments.
Other information:
High school diploma or GED.
CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
Certification as a Dialysis Tech required.
Recent (3+years) Dialysis Tech experience
Responsibilities: The dialysis PCT will be proficient in the daily monitoring and operation of the Dialysis machines to include cleaning and disinfecting. The dialysis PCT will also be proficient in the operations of the water treatment system including the scheduling of monthly PM and daily collection and testing of required water samples.The dialysis PCT will assist with the maintenance and stocking of dialysis supplies. Knowledge of the artificial kidney machine, dialyzer, wheelchair, blood pressure cuffs. Transports heavy equipment to and from patient care area. Able to take and assess patient vital signs.
