CVOR Tech Full Time Days Position Summary
Technologist providing technical, patient support, and patient care. Communicates continuosly with the physician about patient condition. Assist physician with invasive and noninvasive procedures and/or surgeries. Operates equiupment safely and correctly. Assesses procedure room and/or surgical suite for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the prodedural and/or surgical team are met. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Demonstrates critical thinking in relation to patient management and physician interaction.
THE CVOR TECH FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited two year cardiovascular technology training program; or surgical technology program; or equivalent on the job training including a minimum three month orientation.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in an acute care Cardiac Catheterization Lab or CVOR.
